Who knows Marco Palmieri?
Conceptual fine arts was in Rome last afternoon, visiting Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral and two galleries, T293 and Frutta. We will report about our tour later this week, in the meantime we would like to point out the three works we have found on show at the Frutta’s project room. They are by Marco Palmieri, an artist based in Rome and, according to gallerist James Gardner, a college mate of Oliver Osborne. All of the works are untitled, but the interesting proximity to Osborne’s work is evident in colours, framing, and in the use of empty space too. While Palmieri makes Osborn’s work clearer, this latter is the best starting point to approach Palmieri: keep an eye on him.
